Business Task
The task was to create a rebranding for MEGAOPTIKA — the largest optical in Ukraine — that would reflect the brand’s confident growth, масштаб, and strong market position. The new identity had to feel modern, minimalistic, and instantly recognizable, without relying on visual clichés commonly associated with the optics industry. The challenge was to develop a clean and simple visual system while introducing a distinctive and creative graphic solution. Another important objective was to create a flexible identity system capable of scaling seamlessly across retail spaces, navigation, digital communication, and advertising materials.
Solution
We created a modern identity system built around simplicity, clarity, and a strong graphic accent. The key visual element became a yellow dot — a minimal yet highly recognizable symbol operating on multiple associative levels. It references safety markers on glass doors, light reflections, the sun, focal points, and optical illusions. The yellow dot evolved into the core building block of the entire branding system: scaling from a small accent element to large graphic compositions, integrating into typography, advertising messages, and branded materials to create a cohesive and flexible visual language. We intentionally avoided unnecessary details and overly complicated solutions, focusing instead on a clean identity that feels contemporary, easy to navigate, and aligned with the brand’s ambitions in quality, assortment scale, and business growth. The result is a stylish and recognizable brand identity that serves as a strong visual framework for an optical retail chain aiming to lead the market with confidence and continuous development.
